What is a .XOJO_WINDOW file?
The .XOJO_WINDOW file extension is associated with a Xojo Window File. This type of file is created using Xojo, which is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) designed for building custom applications. The .XOJO_WINDOW file contains data for a specific window within a Xojo project. This data is stored in text format and includes various details about the window, such as how it behaves, its minimum size, and its background color.
Originally, Xojo used the .RBW file extension for window files, but this has since been replaced by the .XOJO_WINDOW extension.
To manage these files, you will need to use the Xojo software. Xojo allows you to open, edit, and save these files as part of your project. When you want to create a .XOJO_WINDOW file, you can do so by selecting the window you wish to export within Xojo, then going to File → Export [window name]..., choosing where you want to save the file, naming it, and clicking Save. If you need to import a .XOJO_WINDOW file into a project, you simply go to File → Import, find the file you want to import, and select Import.
It's important to note that Xojo projects can be saved in three different formats: Project (text), Binary, and XML. The format you choose will affect how window files like .XOJO_WINDOW are handled. If you do not have a product license for Xojo, you will be limited to saving files in the binary format, which is similar to the older format used by Real Studio, the predecessor to Xojo.
Xojo was previously known as REAL Software Real Studio until it was rebranded as Xojo, Inc. in 2013.
