What is a .WBS file?
A .WBS file is a type of project file created by a program called WebBlender. WebBlender is a software designed to be easy for kids to use, allowing them to create interactive presentations and websites. When someone uses WebBlender to make a website, all the parts of the website, like pages, pictures, text, shapes, buttons, and moving images (animations), are saved into a .WBS file. This means that the .WBS file holds all the pieces of the website project together. After the project is finished, it can be turned into a .HTML file, which is the standard type of file for websites, so it can be viewed on the internet.
To open a .WBS file, you need to have the WebBlender program. Specifically, you would use Tech4Learning WebBlender 2, which is the version of the software that can work with these files. If you have this program, you can open and work on WebBlender project files (.WBS) easily.
If you're creating a new project in WebBlender and want to save it as a .WBS file, you would go to the "File" menu at the top of the program, then choose "Save As." A window will pop up where you can type in what you want to name your project file, choose where on your computer you want to save it, and then click the "Save" button. This will save your work as a .WBS file, which you can open again later to continue working on your project.
