What is a .VSL file?
The .VSL file is a special kind of file that works with Microsoft Visio, which is a program used for making diagrams for business purposes. Think of a .VSL file as an extra piece of a puzzle that adds more features to the Microsoft Visio program. These extra features are not made by the people who made Microsoft Visio, but by other people or companies who want to add more abilities to the program.
To use a .VSL file, you need to have Microsoft Visio 2021 installed on your computer. Once you have that program, you can open .VSL files with it, and it will let you do more things in Microsoft Visio.
There's also something interesting about how .VSL files work with another technology called Velocity. Velocity is a tool that lets you take information from a Java program (Java is a popular programming language) and mix it with a special kind of file called a Velocity template. This combination can create a new text file, like an HTML file for websites, that is filled with data. For example, if you have a website template with an empty table, Velocity can fill that table with data from a Java program. However, it's important to note that when we're talking about these templates, they usually have a .VM extension, not .VSL. But the idea behind both is to extend the capabilities of software by adding new components or data.
