What is a .SCPRESETS file?
An SCPRESETS file is a type of file used by a program called Snap Converter, which works on macOS computers. Snap Converter helps change pictures from one format to another, like turning a JPEG picture into a PNG picture. The SCPRESETS file keeps certain settings that you might want to use again and again for changing pictures. These settings can include what type of picture you're changing to, how big the picture should be, if you want to add a watermark (which is like a stamp or signature on the picture), and how the picture's name should be changed.
You can only open this type of file with Snap Converter. When you use an SCPRESETS file, it makes it easier to do the same kind of picture changes multiple times without having to set up everything from scratch each time. For example, if you have a lot of small pictures for a website that all need to be the same size and format, you can save these settings in one SCPRESETS file and use it every time you have new pictures. Or, if you need to add a watermark to a bunch of photos before sending them to someone, you can save these settings in another SCPRESETS file.
These preset files are actually saved in a format that Apple computers use called .PLIST, and they are written in plain text. This means you could open the file in a text editor and change the settings yourself, but you have to be careful. If you change something in the file, it might not work the way you expect when you try to use it in Snap Converter.
