What is a .R2U file?
A file that ends in .r2u is a file that has been locked by a bad computer program called R2U ransomware. This means the file, which could be a picture, a document, a video, or any other type of file, has been changed in a way that you can't open or use it anymore. The reason you can't open the file is because it has been encrypted, which is like putting a lock on it that only the ransomware has the key to.
To try and fix this, some people might suggest using a tool called System Restore.
