What is a .QC file?
The .QC file extension is used for a type of file called a Half-Life Model Compiler Script. These files are written in a special programming language known as QuakeC. QuakeC was first used in the video game Quake, a popular first-person shooter game. The language is quite similar to the C programming language and is used to create or modify parts of video games, like how the game characters behave (this is called artificial intelligence) and other game features.
To open a .QC file, you can use several programs. One of them is the game Quake itself, made by a company called id Software. Since .QC files are essentially text files, you can also open them with simple text editing programs like Microsoft Notepad, which comes with Windows, or any other text editor you prefer to use.
