What is a .QB file?
A .QB file is a special kind of file called a Diploma Question Bank File. It is used with a program named Wimba Diploma. This program was designed to help people make questions for exams. Inside a .QB file, you can find different types of questions like essay questions, multiple choice questions, and true/false questions. It also includes details on where each question should appear in the question bank.
To open or use these .QB files, you would need the Wimba Diploma program. However, it's important to know that Wimba Diploma isn't being updated anymore because the company that made it, Wimba, was bought by another company called Blackboard in 2010.
If you have a .QB file and you want to add more questions to it, you would start by opening your Wimba Diploma program. Then, you look for an option that says "Question" and then click on "New Question." This could be done from an exam you're already working on or directly from the Question Bank area. After that, you get to decide what kind of question you want to add, where it should go, and how many questions you want to add. Once you click OK, you'll see your new question appear. To make changes to it, you just double-click on the question, which opens up an editor for you to make your edits. When you're done, you close the editor, and your changes are saved.
Remember, since Wimba Diploma is no longer being updated, if you're planning to use .QB files or need a program for creating exam questions, you might need to look for alternative software that can open or convert these files for future use.
