What is a .OWX file?
The .OWX file is a special type of file used by a program called OutWit Hub. OutWit Hub is a tool that helps people gather and organize information from the internet. The .OWX file contains details like settings and notes about how an "automator" works. An automator is a part of OutWit Hub that does specific tasks automatically. These tasks can be written in a simple code format called XML, or they might be encrypted for security.
You can open .OWX files with the OutWit Hub program itself. Also, if you use the Mozilla Firefox web browser, you can add a special OutWit Hub extension to it. This extension lets you work with .OWX files directly in Firefox.
OutWit Hub's automators are quite versatile. They can be scripts (small programs), jobs (tasks set to run at certain times), macros (one-click tasks based on certain settings), queries (searches based on web addresses or specific search criteria), or scrapers (tools that pick out and collect specific data from web pages). Each of these helps with different aspects of gathering and managing online information.
For example, a job might be set to collect certain data every day at noon. A macro could let you gather specific types of information from a website with just one click. A scraper would be used to find and collect data from web pages, like prices from an online store. And queries can search multiple websites or pages based on your interests.
It's important to note that before the fifth version of OutWit Hub, automators were saved with a .XML file extension instead of .OWX. This means that older versions of OutWit Hub might not recognize the .OWX format directly.
