What is a .OFBR file?
An .OFBR file is a type of backup file that is made using a program called Oxygen Forensics Detective. This program is a tool used by professionals to pull out and look closely at information from different devices like laptops, smartphones, or even data stored online in cloud services. When someone uses Oxygen Forensics Detective to gather data from a device, they can choose to save only the pieces of information they think are very important into a file, and this file is what is called an .OFBR file. It's a way to focus on specific data without having to deal with everything on the device. This is different from another type of file called .OFBX, which saves everything without filtering out what's important and what's not.
To open an .OFBR file, you would need to use either Oxygen Forensics Detective, which is the same program used to create these files, or Oxygen Forensics Viewer. Oxygen Forensics Viewer is a program that lets you look at the contents of the .OFBR file without the need for the full Detective program, which is more about analyzing and managing the data.
