What is a .JPG-LARGE file?

A .JPG-LARGE file is a special type of image file that you might come across if you're downloading big pictures from Twitter using the Google Chrome web browser. Essentially, it's just a regular JPEG image, which is a very common format for pictures because it can compress images to make them smaller in size without losing too much quality. However, when Chrome saves these large images from Twitter, it adds "-large" to the file extension, making it .jpg-large instead of the usual .jpg.

Even though the file has a different extension, it's still a JPEG image. The reason for the different extension is to indicate that the image was specifically downloaded in its large size from Twitter. But, don't worry, you can easily view this image. All you need to do is change the file extension from .jpg-large back to .jpg. This is something you can do by renaming the file: right-click on the file, select "Rename," and then change the ".jpg-large" part to ".jpg." Once you've renamed the file, you can open it with pretty much any program that supports JPEG images. This includes image viewers that come with your computer's operating system, like Windows Photo Viewer or Preview on a Mac, as well as web browsers like Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. You can also use more specialized photo editing software like Adobe Photoshop if you want to edit the image. Essentially, any software that can open a standard JPEG file should be able to open your image once you've changed the extension back to .jpg.
