What is a .JBF file?
A .JBF file is a special kind of file used by a computer program called Corel Paint Shop Pro, which is a tool for working with digital images. This file is known as a Paint Shop Pro Browser Cache File. Think of it as a memory file for the program. When you use Paint Shop Pro to look at pictures, it creates a .JBF file to remember small versions of these pictures, called thumbnails. This helps the program show you the pictures quickly next time you want to see them, without having to load them all over again from scratch.
You can open and work with .JBF files using Corel PaintShop Pro 2023, which is the latest version of the program. It's okay to delete .JBF files if you need to free up space on your computer. However, keep in mind that Paint Shop Pro will just make them again when you browse through images unless you change the settings to stop saving these preview images. These files usually have the name "pspbrwse.jbf" and can get quite big if you look at a lot of pictures because they store a small preview of each image.
Also, it's worth noting that .JBF files aren't just for the newest versions of the software. Even older versions of Paint Shop Pro, which used to be called PaintShop Photo Pro, use these files to help you browse images faster.
