What is a .IB3 file?
The .IB3 file is a type of game file used by IncrediBots 3, which is a fun simulation game. These Challenges can include all sorts of objects and the physical rules that make them behave like they would in the real world. So, if you create a world in IncrediBots 3, and you want to save it to work on later or share with friends, it gets saved as a .IB3 file.
However, it's important to know that IncrediBots 3 doesn't automatically save your Challenges as .IB3 files in the way you might expect. Instead, when you decide to save your Challenge, the game gives you a special text that represents your entire world. You need to copy this text and save it in a simple text file. While you could just save this as a .TXT file, which is a basic text file, it's suggested to save it with the .IB3 extension. This way, you know it's an IncrediBots 3 Challenge file.
To open a .IB3 file, you actually use the IncrediBots 3 game itself, but through a web browser. There isn't a separate program to open these files outside of the game. So, when you want to load your saved Challenge, you would go into IncrediBots 3 in your web browser, and then use the option to load a Challenge, where you would input the text from your .IB3 (or .TXT) file. This will recreate the world you saved right in the game, letting you pick up right where you left off.
