What is a .GTXML file?

A .GTXML file is a special kind of file used by people who create video content, especially for live streaming or broadcasting. This file is made using a program called StudioCoast GT Designer Advanced, which is a tool that helps you make fancy titles or sections at the bottom of the screen (known as lower-thirds) that you often see during live videos, like news, sports, or online streams. These titles can have different layers, meaning they can show text and pictures together, and they can even move or change because they can include animation.

The .GTXML file is like a recipe that tells the computer how to show these titles or lower-thirds. It's written in a way that computers understand, using something called XML, which is a standard way to store and share this kind of information. It's pretty neat because it's just text, so it's easy to handle and doesn't take up much space.

To work with these .GTXML files, you use StudioCoast vMix, which is a program for mixing videos live. It's like being a DJ, but for videos. You can take the titles you made with GT Designer Advanced and put them into your live video with vMix. If you want to make one of these files, you go into GT Designer, make your title, and then save it as a ".GTXML" file.

Sometimes, you might want to save your title in a different way, as a .GTZIP file. This is like putting all the parts of your title, including any pictures you used, into a zip folder so everything is together. This is handy if you want to share your title with someone else who uses GT Designer, because it has everything they need all in one place. The .GTXML files are smaller because they don't include the pictures themselves, just a note about where the pictures are supposed to be.

So, if you're making live videos and want to add cool titles or lower-thirds, you'd use GT Designer to create them, save them as .GTXML files to work on them or as .GTZIP files to share them, and then use vMix to add them to your live video.
