What is a .GR2 file?

You can open a .GR2 file using a few different programs. One of them is RAD Game Tools Granny 3D, which is the same program used to create these files. There's also RAD Game Tools Granny Viewer, which lets you look at the 3D models and animations without needing to edit them. These programs are made by a company called RAD Game Tools.
If you have older files that end in .GRN, which were made with an earlier version of Granny 3D, you can change them into .GR2 files using a special tool called grn2gr2. This is helpful if you want to use the older 3D models and animations with the newer version of Granny 3D or other modern 3D content development tools.
